Description
Pirastro Eudoxa violin strings are an ideal choice for the orchestra, chamber, or studio musician. These lower tension strings are extremely well balanced, offer a warm and smooth tone, and have an easier feel on the left hand.
The E is available in loop or ball end, the A has a ball end, and the D and G strings have a tie knot end in the traditional gut style.
The D and G are available in the Standard or Rigid style. The Rigid provides a darker and more powerful sound as compared to the standard strings.

Playability: Reduced left hand resistance due to lower string tension
Stability: The A, D and G are affected by temperature and climate change.

- E string: Solid Steel or Aluminum over steel
- A string: Aluminum over gut
- D string: Aluminum over gut
- G string: Silver over gut
Rigid string composition:
- D string: Aluminum over gut
- G string: Silver over gut
As with all gut strings, please note the end-shapes of each string:
- E string: Ball or Loop
- A string: Ball
- D string: Tie knot
- G string: Tie knot
