Experienced European luthiers craft each Klaus Mueller Bucharest by hand. These instruments are light in weight but big in sound from meticulous graduation of the spruce top. The Bucharest violin features a bold and resonant sound with excellent projection, allowing intermediate players to build upon their technique and musical expression.
Klaus Mueller Bucharest violins are carved from European tone-woods. Spruce top with medium-wide grain. Inlaid purfling. Two piece maple back. Maple ribs and scroll similar to back. Finished in a brownish amber color. Each violin is shop adjusted by our experienced, in-house luthiers, to assure excellent playability. Outfit includes rosin and your choice of strings, case, and bow. Made in Romania.

This Violin is wonderful! It plays well and looks nice. I’m still somewhat of a beginner on Violin but find playing this instrument easy. Order was shipped and delivered within a couple of days (to California from Arizona). Very happy with this instrument!

I purchased the Klaus Mueller violin in March 2017 and have been playing very consistently on it since then. After several months of heavy practice, this violin is exceeding my expectations. It’s a beautiful instrument, light weight, and the sound that it creates is outstanding! I have really been able to progress as a beginner on this violin. I had the zyex strings put on it and have been pleased with their resonant sound. Southwest Strings made it affordable for me to be able to have the instrument I’ve always wanted. I played violin as a youth, and now again as an adult, this violin has helped me achieve my goals. Thanks Southwest Strings!

Since my last review, I have definitely been enjoying the Klaus Mueller Bucharest. Not only is it strikingly beautiful, but it creates a very professional sounding atmosphere. It definitely has a wide range, especially if your a person who likes to experiment with music, or even a student. This was great for me considering I have a main focus of solos. However, I was able to blend very easily within an orchestra, so I still recommend this for student players. I highly recommend selecting dominant strings when creating an outfit, for they take a nice standing on this violin. However, if your style of play doesn’t match with the dominant e, the Pirastro gold e string seems to fit in more comfortably. The rosin provided in the violin outfit has done a great job as well. Overall, I have found myself to grow fond of this violin and I’m very proud of my accomplishments with it.
