    Thank you for the opportunity to review this edition of Bach’s cello suites, published by Ricordi and edited by Enrico Polo.
    I don’t believe there is a finer version. My wife is a very fine cellist/teacher and she concurs. She also suggests that violinists are a larcenous group for having usurped the cello literature. The editing work is intelligent, lightly done and respectful of Bach’s stylistic intentions. Well worth the expense.

    I love listening to these suites, and am happy to have the chance to play them as well. The violin transcription is very good, although I might still make bowing changes that are more violinistic. Couldn’t put it down!
