A peg shaper for either violin, viola, or cello. You can cut fast giving a clean, smooth surface even on delicate wood. Blades have two edges for extended life. Padded with soft plastic, these professional tools will not scratch hands or slip on the bench. Please specify instrument and size needed.
Endpin Rib Clamp: For re-gluing loose ribs to the lower block without opening the
instrument. After the pivot is inserted through the end pin hole, the
rods turns by gravity into the cross position. Sizes: Violin/Viola. Made in Germany.
Rib Corner Clamp: For re-gluing rib corners. Attach to rib corner area and apply pressure to each rib with perpendicular spindles. Sizes: Cello. Made in Germany.
Fingerboard Strap Clamp: Made of high strength plastic. Made in USA.
German made gluing clamps for violin or viola. The pads of these clamps go over the edge of the instrument, directly over the rib, which eliminates possible chipping of varnish or damage to the edge. The materials used are glue repelling, non-aging and elastic to avoid leaving pressure marks.
Clamps colored to designate placement on instrument: Red = Corner Yellow = Inner Bouts Blue = Outer Bouts
Hand forged steel clamps, with new unique strutted design, of high stability and low weight give well defined pressure. High pitch rods for fast closing action. Freely mobile brass swivels on ball bearings. All parts galvanized are made of corrosion free material.
The Herdim aluminium crack clamps are extremely low in weight, and have twisting clamping jaws which are flexible, to fit the contours of the instrument. The risk of chipping the edges when repairing a table or bottom crack is minimized.
The non-slip jaws hold the clamp securely, even when applied close to the upper or lower end of the instrument body. They also adapt to the inner bouts and the tight radius of the corners.
Materials: Arms and bearings, of high-strength aluminium alloy (weight 45-50 g). Jaws silicone type is elastomer, which is non-coloring and glue rejecting. Thumbscrew is brass. Made in Germany.
The combination of aluminum and brass greatly reduces the weight of the clamp and increases its flexibility for use in sensitive areas. Rubber padded plates of the leveling screws as well as rubber jaws reduce the risk of damage to instrument. European origin ensures durability, precise and flawless action.
German peg hole and endpin hole reamers. Made of high speed steel, the cutting edge is abrasion resistant and built for continuous use. Three cutting edges only, best for achieving perfectly rounded holes.
Peg Hole Reamers:
Violin and Viola: standard #R201, or spriral #R201S (1:30 taper)
Small violin 1/2 - 1/16: standard #R200 (1:30 taper)
Cello: standard #R202, or spiral #R202S (1:25 taper)
