Description
Thomastik-InfeldRed violin strings have a category to themselves as they are unmatched in harmonic complexity among strings produced by Thomastik. Infeld Red strings have a rich, warm sound, producing subtle overtones.
Infeld Red strings were developed alongside Infeld Blue violin strings as an option for the violinist to explore different tone colors within a brand whose strings are designed to work well together. Both sets are designed with synthetic cores of identical tension to offer the musician the ease of making a mix-and-match set between Infeld Red and Blue.
While Infeld Reds are warm and dark, Infeld Blues are the more brilliant and clearer sounding. These two different tonal characteristics and equal tensions allow the musician to add warmth or clarity to their instrument through this consistently-recommended pair, without having to experiment with multiple brands and tensions.
Tone:Booming warmth
Playability:Quick response
Stability:Virtually resistant to climate and temperature change
Thomastik-Infeld Red violin string composition:

Astring: Hydronalium over composite
Dstring: Hydronalium over composite
Gstring: Silver over composite

Red Infeld strings are very nice. I use other sets, and sometimes mix strings, but these are fantastic. I especially like the gold plated E string.

I must disagree with the review submitted by Pishon. If you have one string break, you cannot automatically blame the string. There are many reasons for a string break such as improper winding, over tightening, string rubbing on other strings or a rough spot on the violin bridge or nut, etc. and very rarely do you actually get a bad string, but that could happen with any brand.
I am a professional violin soloist and a violin teacher. I have used these strings professionally to solo for over 15 years and I use this set of strings for all of my students and they are excellent. I have had no problems with breakage or wearing out, even 4 year olds in my studio can’t break this string! I have been very impressed with these strings on my professional violin and how amazing they make student level violins sound. I highly recommend these strings to anyone.

In the beginning when i bought this string, it was quite strong, but after a month, the string broke. It has good sound quality, but the string was not really strong enough. I am disappointed.
