The editions of Volumes 1-9 are International Editions, which feature very minor alterations to the notation and text of the earlier Revised Editions. They are otherwise identical to, and fully compatible with, the Revised Editions.

The Suzuki Method is an internationally known music curriculum and teaching philosophy dating from the mid-20th century, created by Japanese violinist and pedagogue Shinichi Suzuki (1898-1998). The method aims to create an environment for learning music which parallels the linguistic environment of acquiring a native language. Dr. Suzuki believed that this environment would also help to foster good moral character (Source: Wikipedia.) I tried to order the books but was then told that my payment information was not adequate—something that did not make sense to me. So, I ended up finding the books I needed at a local shop. Will return to you for strings, in the near future.

I should have bought the English language edition – instead, I got the International edition, and a great deal of space in the book is taken up with the various translations. But that’s on me. The book is clearly printed and nicely bound and the info inside is Suzuki, which is what I wanted!

I am almost finished with Book #3 and thought I should order the next couple of books. Don’t know how they are yet, but the music looks challenging. Can’t wait to start!
