  1. The First Hour

This book came recommended by my teacher and does not disappoint. Peled’s method for describing technique is brilliant and will help cellists of any ability improve their playing.

  2. Very challenging "warm up " exercises

    Elizabeth (verified owner)

I have been playing cello and teaching for many many years but still find the First Hour technically very challenging. I welcome the challenge and have found Amit Peled’s little symbols for various technique considerations very fun as well as helpful in capturing the technical point. I must say I will take me months to learn the “etudes” and much more than an hour to work through them in any given day. But any one of them is well worth the time and effort .
