I’ve had my voyager stand for 10-15 years now and is still just as functional as the day I got it. I’m a freelance musician and I’ve put it through the test. Nothing has broken or become loose. Would recommend to anyone. I also added the carrying bag years later and that has also endured not only carrying the stand but added music folders/iPad etc for running to a gig.
Love it and would absolutely buy another if my first one ever wears out!

I own two of these stands but had to receive 4, because each purchase required an exchange. The first two had a defect where the inner shaft fell into the outer shaft and the nut was on very, very tightly. I had to get someone else to help with the assembly where he held what tiny bit of the inner shaft was sticking out while I tried very, very hard to turn the nut and eventually succeeded. Our grip on the inner shaft kept slipping, because of how little was accessible, and the nut was on very tightly. However, once the shaft was attached to the tripod, I found the stand great to use. The second two I received both had looser nuts and the shaft had not even fallen inside on one of them! However, on the first of these two, the place where the shelf attaches to the shaft was defective; I could not turn it much and could only get it halfway tightened even with the aid of a hammer. The exchange stand has similar problem but not as badly, because it can actually be turned, if with a lot of effort and more force than my other stand. Both of the second two stands had rough edges to the tripod part such that it actually cut the surface of my skin. I really like the Manhasset Voyager stand— it is sturdy and like having my regular Manhasset stand for gigs!— but I find it ridiculous that 4 out of 4 stands had defects. And some defects were severe enough to prevent assembly of the stand.

I’ve had my Voyager music stand for 20 years and it is still my favorite traveling music stand, by far. I also have the travel case/bag for it, which makes it very easy to collapse and stow the stand when I’m done playing my orchestra gigs. I’ve used this outdoors on several occasions and it is rock steady, even in heavy winds! You can also get the slide-out extensions for it which is a blessing when you have 3 or more pages to spread out at one time. Compared to those flimsy wire music stands, this is a truly professional and quality item. Highly recommended!!
