The 3D Sound mutes are the harmonious union of traditional acoustic concepts and today's state of the art technologies and materials. These mutes are created using a 3-D printer that manipulates the plastics, polymers, and synthetic composite material that closely approximates organic material such as leather or wood. These 3-D mutes produce a darker sound, while preserving overtones.

The 3D Sound mutes feature wider string and bridge tolerances, they are designed to be secured on the string windings (or removed when not in use) so that they have minimal impact on the behind-the-bridge harmonics. Made in the USA.

• Viol: Best for studio work, recording, electric/acoustic instruments, low dampening, can be mounted on one string or between two, preserves natural tone and sound
  
• Disc: Best for orchestral performance, high acoustic fidelity with pianissimo (Permanently sold out)
• Dual: Gigging, orchestral and solo performing, bridge mount for pianissimo, or slide against back of bridge for mezzo piano

Mezzo piano - moderately soft (Viol, Dual)

Pianissimo - very soft (Disc, Dual)
