Southwest Strings - Schools Programs

Southwest Strings is pleased to offer, at no cost to schools, clinics led by Dr. James McWhorter. His workshops, clinics, guest conducting and open discussions have been an inspiration to students, teachers and administrators alike.

To Whom It May Concern:
Dr. McWhorter facilitated an outstanding cello master class. He worked with individual soloists for the benefit of all in attendance, providing a vast knowledge in string technique and practices. Each student left the event with an increasing desire to continue participation in the music program. He rehearsed with the high school and middle school orchestras and drastically increased the level of musicianship with the majority of the students, again encouraging the students to actively improve their own musical abilities. The orchestras not only improved considerably, they had a blast making music with such a caring professional.
