Instrument Rentals
Offering you high-quality student instruments at a low monthly fee, our rental instruments are set-up and ready to play!
Our national rental fleet has violin, viola and cello outfits available in all sizes. Basses are only available for local rental in Tucson, AZ. Participation in our rental program requires the following:
- A Mastercard, Visa, or Discover credit card. This is required for the initial payment and will remain on file. Each monthly rental fee will be charged to this card.
- Your home telephone number and alternative telephone number.
- Name and contact information of a close relative.
- Initial pre-payment of three months of rental fees.

student instruments
- The Southwest Strings rental program gives you the chance to get an instrument quickly, at a low initial expense. This is especially important if you are not sure of your child's long-term interest in playing a stringed instrument.
- Relieves you of the stress to financially commit to a purchase before being ready.
- By renting, you can continue upgrading instrument sizes until your child has reached a size that they will be able to play for an extended period of time. This is valuable for younger students who may need to upgrade instrument sizes more than once a year.

The benefits of our rental program are:
- All rental instruments are professionally adjusted by our in-house luthiers.
- All outfits include a bow, case and rosin.
- You may return or exchange an instrument outfit at any time. A return may be subject to loss of the non-refundable initial payment.
- We provide telephone customer service during normal business hours if you encounter any issues with your rental.

A renter's credit program, which means your rental dollars are an
investment!
This exciting component of our rental program allows you to apply the first five months of your monthly fees towards a stringed instrument purchase. Using your "Renter's Credit", you may decide to buy your current rental or upgrade to any other instrument that we carry.

**The initial (non-refundable) payment is comprised of:
- First three months of rental fees.
- First three months of insurance (optional in Tucson).
