Strictly Strings: Pop Style for Violin

Although correlated to specific pages in Strictly Strings, Book 1, these solos can be performed by first-year students using any string method. The simple piano accompaniments are designed to effectively support the solos with authentic pop-style harmonies and rhythms. Chord symbols are included for pianists who want to improvise or embellish the written accompaniment. The recordings, available on CD, feature state of the art synthesized orchestrations that provide a sparkling showcase for the young performer. Each solo is performed two times; once with the solo played by an artist level string player and once with only the accompaniment.
