A Renaissance Fair for String Orchestra (Grade 3)

Featuring two tunes (composer unknown) from the 15-16th centuries, the first is an Irish Ho-Hoane or lament and the second, an Alman, which is a dance in duple time. The modal harmonies and contrasting styles of the piece provide an excellent introduction to Renaissance music and will help develop both style and good intonation.
