Modeled after a violin made c. 1742 by Giuseppe Antonio Guarneri, del Gesł (1698-1744). The original instrument is also known as the David, in honor of the 19th century virtuoso Ferdinand David, who played it in the premiere of Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto. 0% Financing Available.
This Scott Cao violin is a beautifully executed replica of the original by Giuseppe Antonio Guarneri, del Gesł. Spruce top of medium grain. Two-piece maple back with medium flame. Ribs and scroll similar to back. Finished in an oil varnish of a red-brown on a golden ground and antiqued in the style of the original violin. Made in China.
