The Scott Cao "Lafont" violin is modeled after an instrument made by Guarneri "del Gesu" from 1735. It is named after the great Parisian virtuoso, Charles Philippe Lafont, who served as a chamber musician to Czar Alexander I of Russia and the court of King Louis XVIII of France. 0% Financing Available.
The Scott Cao "Lafont" violin is a beautifully executed replica of the original by Guarneri "del Gesu" from 1735. Two piece spruce top with fine grain. Two piece maple back with prominent, narrow flame, descending slightly to the edges. Ribs and scroll similar to back. Antiqued in a warm red-brown color on a golden ground.
