The Scott Cao "Cannon" is modeled after a violin from 1743 by Guarneri "del Gesu". The "Cannon"
was named by Niccolo Paganini for its large, full tone. Each Scott Cao
"Cannon" is beautifully crafted from quality tone-woods and attractively antiqued in the
style of the original violin. The "Cannon" produces a powerful, focused tone that

The Scott Cao "Cannon" violin is meticulously carved by experienced luthiers under the strict supervision of Scott Cao. Spruce top of medium grain. Two-piece back of relatively, narrow flame. Ribs and scroll similar to back. Scroll with a black chamfer. Antiqued and finished in a spirit varnish of a warm brown on a golden ground.
