Later 19th Century Old German Violin

A German violin from the second half of the 19th century. Two piece spruce top of narrow grain, widening to the edges. Two piece maple back with narrow, medium flame, running straight, toward the edges. Ribs of a more lightly flamed maple.  Head stock similar to the back.  The varnish is a red-brown color over a clear ground.  Heavily antiqued, and shows typical wear from use.  Unlabeled. 

There are several repaired cracks to the table, including one in the soundpost area, and bass bar area. No crack repairs to the back.
