Alessandro Commendulli is one of today's foremost Italian violin makers. He is a graduate of the International School of Violin Making "Antonio Stradivari" where he studied with Massimo Negroni, Stefano Conia, and Georgio Scolari. Commendulli's work is inspired by the great classical Cremonese makers and in particular, the instruments of Giuseppe Guarneri del "Gesu". He is a member of the Consorzio Liutai Antonio Stradivari Cremona, a consortium that promotes contemporary Cremonese making and the ancient artisan traditions it upholds. Commendulli's shop is located in the historical center of Cremona.

- Viola Information: Two piece spruce top of close grain throughout. Two piece maple back of narrow descending from the center to edge. Ribs and headstock similar. Antiqued varnish of brown-amber on a gold ground. LOB 411mm.
