STV750 - Scott Cao Cannon Violin
Description
Modeled after a violin made in 1743 by Guarneri "del Gesu", the "Cannon" was named by Niccolo Paganini for its large, full tone. Each Scott Cao "Cannon" is beautifully crafted with an attractive antique finish in the style of the original violin and produces a powerful, focused tone that is capable of a wide range of artistic color.
Hand-carved from quality tone-woods. Spruce top of medium grain. Two piece back of relatively, narrow flame. Ribs and scroll similar to back. Scroll with a black chamfer. Antiqued and finished in a spirit varnish of a warm brown on a golden ground. Made in China.
