50 Duets That Can Be Played by Any Combination of String Instruments Arranged by Doris Gazda and Larry Clark
This collection contains 50 duet arrangements of popular Christmas carols that will be fun to play with any combination of two string instruments. The combination of instruments are almost limitless and the flexibility of these duets makes them a must have for any string player during the Christmas season. Each book contains a melody and harmony line.
Selections from the smaller keyboard works of the Baroque masters were chosen for this collection of violin duets on the basis of appeal and adaptability to string performance, with key changes where appropriate.
The more advanced violinist will find suggested ornaments in the footnotes and, in parenthesis, occasional fingerings for optional position changes. Additional editorial markings for the student suggest typical baroque phrasing and articulation.
