The collection includes a variety of styles, from classical to folk music to original pieces and they may be used in a variety of settings, from schools to group classes and small chamber ensembles. Arranged by prominent string pedagogue Doris Gazda, the compositions will sound full and satisfying whether they are played by only three instruments or a full string orchestra. The selections cover a wide variety of musical styles and are progressively organized by level of difficulty, from easy to intermediate.
This is an original collection of multi-level pieces with flexible scoring that can be played by any combination of violin, viola, and cello. Each trio has two easy parts and one part for a teacher or advanced student. The optional piano accompaniments provide additional musical color to the ensemble.
