Cadenzas to Concerto for Violin and Orchestra, Op. 61
Cadenzas to Ludwig van Beethoven's Concerto for Violin and Orchstra. The first ever compilation of cadenzas to Beethoven's beloved concerto. Many of these cadenzas are published here for the first time since the 19th century and the cadenzas by Wieniawski and Ysaye are published here for the first time ever. Cadenzas are sorted by styles and schools of playing with comments on performance practice for each composer. This edition complements Barenreiter's violin and piano reduction of the concerto.
Includes Cadenzas By:
Barenreiter's Easy Concerto Series. A new series of the most popular short solo concertos for violin. Each edition includes a solo violin part and a piano accompaniment. Friedrich Seitz's Concerto No. 2 in G major op. 13 can be introduced after the completion of Volume 3 of the Sassmannshaus Tradition Early Start on the Violin (BA9678) and corresponds with ASTA Rating Beginner (1-2).
Trio in G Major, "Gypsy Trio" for Violin, Cello, and Piano
The present Piano trio in G major is also known as the "Gypsy Trio." This nickname, which did not originate with the composer, derives from the original term for the melodic writing in the finale (Rondo in the Gypsies stile), where Haydn makes use of musical models from his native country and environs.
