Sunlit Morning Alleluias for Full Orchestra (Grade 5)
Beginning in a mood of peaceful serenity and rising up to ecstatic glory
in the conclusion, Mr. Mahr's composition is a touching and
sophisticated metamorphosis in sound. Includes conductor's score and parts.
The parts in this book range from beginner to advanced and are arranged in "basic," "active" and "solo" levels. Basic, a standard accompaniment mode is the simplest level of bass playing. Active bass is a mixture of basic accompaniment and "walking" which is common in jazz music. Solo bass--which involves fast, syncopated melodic phrases--is the most complex level of bass playing. All parts are written in standard bass clef notation and 4-line bass tablature. Companion CD's included.

Of the Father's Love Begotten for Piano and Strings
as a special meditative prelude during the Christmas season, this
arrangement of the ancient chant tune opens with a transparent texture
that climaxes with "leggiero" passage work in the strings before ending
calmly and sparsely. All parts are of moderate difficulty, presenting a
wonderful opportunity to feature your pianist, and the string parts are
equally effective when performed by a quintet, one on a part. Includes score and parts (one per instrument).
