The present edition includes Debussy's lesser known Intermezzo and Scherzo for cello and piano. Both were composed in 1882, when Debussy was 20 years old. Includes a supplementary cello part with fingerings and bowings by Jeffrey Solow. Piano fingerings by Eckart Sellheim.
Debussy's new string quartet received a very cool reception at its 1893
premiere, but was able to establish itself in the years that followed.
Today the work belongs to the core chamber music repertoire. This urtext edition includes a set of parts.
